Ahmet Burçin Gürbüz

Burçin Gürbüz is an architect and XR (extended realities) developer based in Istanbul, who believes in the benefits of implementing emerging technologies in the fields of cultural heritage research, education and preservation. In addition to his profession, he is a prized underwater archaeology videographer and researcher.

Since his early years to this day, in the field of architecture & design he took a trans-disciplinary approach, merging technological and scientific implementations with a creative point of view. His profession being architecture, his pursuit being emerging technologies; one of his first innovative R&D products that brought together the said fields was a mobile health care vehicle modified from an articulated lorry.

​Burçin found TasarimAtlas Architecture & Design in 2008, Istanbul and established over 1,5 million sqm of projects in various scales, locally and internationally. Over the years, he began to discover the potential of XR Technologies and found GarageAtlas; a creative XR studio that develops original content and products for extended realities and new media within the scope of design thinking, story telling and experiential design.

Burçin, in addition to his ongoing works, is a professional diver, keynote speaker and XR instructor.
